Getting to Car Hire in French Sector

Question:
I am planning a trip to Geneva and have to go through the French exit in order to get the car that we have hired at French exit. I have concerns as to the luggage - where my luggage is supposed to be picked up - in the main hall (where I normally picked it up when travelling to Geneva in the Swiss area or elsewhere. Thank you in advance.

Answer:
Get you bags as you always do. Exit to Switzerland then go upstairs to departures and enter into the French sector.
This is how the official Geneva Airport web site explains how to exit to France – http://www.gva.ch/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-72/.
It’s also possible to exit before getting your bags – http://www.gva.ch/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-48/ but I’ve never been able to figure out where to go exactly.
