Getting to Geneva Airport

The Geneva airport is easy to get to as there are a number of public/private transportation options. These include bus, coach, train, taxi and even walking or biking. The Geneva Airport is located in the town of Cointrin, 5 kilometers - 3 miles north of the city of Geneva. This map will give you an idea as to the location of the Geneva Airport.

Car
Geneva airport is accessible from motorway A1 exit 6 Genève Aéroport. Once you exit the A1 just follow the airport signs.

Bus
Public buses leave from the departure level.
Bus 10 to the Geneva city centre, leaves every 10 minutes.
Bus 28 to the UN and Lake Geneva or to Meyrin, leaves every 20 minutes.

Ski Transfer

Train
8 minutes to the Geneva city centre and the Cornavin central train station. Trains leave every 15 minutes. The airport railway station is below ground under the shopping centre.
Purchase a Swiss Rail Pass.

Taxi
There is a taxi stand just in front of the arrivals area. After collecting your luggage, exit customs continue straight, leaving the arrivals building. Once outside you can’t miss the taxi stand. Tickets can be purchased at machines located in front of the station entrance.

Hotel Shuttle
A number of hotles near the Geneva Airport have free shuttle service. These include the Crowne Plaza Geneva, Mövenpick Geneva, NH Geneva Airport Hotel and Ramada Park Hotel. The shuttle stop is just outside the arrivals area. See the hotels page for more information.
